HILLS HOUSE - LA DEHESA -
SANTIAGO
This
house is located on a site adjacent a golf course. The first
level was left for common spaces, services and a multimedia
room. The bedrooms and family room are situated on the second
floor, with views to the gardens that were designed as ample
spaces with skylights for natural light.
The
barbecue, a favourite place of the family, is connected with
the terrace, garden, swimming pool, dining room, living room
and kitchen. Its roof was designed, allowing light to filter
through wood beams. Laths of wood, layered as blinds, regulate
the amount of light in summer with a glass roof protecting from
the cold and rain.
Also,
the unevenness of the garden was taken advantage of to create
a waterfall coming down from the pool, that refreshes the ambience
and illuminates itself at night, transforming into a sculptural
figure, that can be appreciated from inside.
