ASHTON HOUSE - ZAPALLAR
This
house is located in "El Morro de Zapallar" hill and
serves as a second home to be used in different times of the
year, allowing to enjoy views of the ocean and outdoor living.
The
placement of the house was carefully chosen to take advantage
of the wonderful orientation that overlooks imposing scenery
of the forested coastal resort, with the intention that all
the common and social areas would have the view of the rocky
coast.
The
bedrooms are organized on the upper floor and its volume functions
as a natural overhang. Located on the lower level are the guest
bedrooms, the family room and exercise room that are in front
of an ample terrace connected to the barbecue area. An infinity
edge pool was utilized to produce a visual effect of water vanishing
to the horizon, obscuring undesired views of the neighbouring
sites below.
Careful
consideration was taken to not disturb any of the existing trees,
which provide shade and characterizes, along with the usage
of the local stone, the style of the resort.
